Resell Track Chrome extension

The Resell Track Chrome extension helps Vinted resellers track their sales, stock and statistics straight from their browser. Using it requires an active Resell Track account.

Data collected through the extension

  • Session identifiers tied to your Resell Track account (authentication token), so that extracted data can be linked to your account.
  • Public information displayed on the Vinted pages you browse: item titles, prices, sale statuses, listing identifiers, transaction dates.
  • No browsing data is collected outside the vinted.* domain. The extension does not observe the other sites you visit.

Chrome permissions requested, and why

  • storage: store your preferences and your Resell Track session token locally.
  • activeTab / scripting: read the content of the active Vinted tab only while you are using the extension, in order to extract the sales information needed for tracking.
  • host_permissions limited to https://*.vinted.*/*: strictly confine the extension's reach to the Vinted domain. No other site is accessible to the extension.

Use and transfer of data

Data extracted by the extension is transmitted encrypted (HTTPS) to the Resell Track backend to be associated with your account and feed your dashboards. Resell Track never sells your data, never shares it with advertisers or data brokers, and carries out no transfer outside the European Union without appropriate legal safeguards.

Limited Use compliance (Chrome Web Store)

Our use of information received through the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In practice, the data collected is used solely to provide and improve user-facing features within Resell Track, is never used for advertising purposes, is never sold, and is only ever read by a human with your explicit consent or for security and legal compliance reasons.

Deletion and uninstallation

Uninstalling the extension from Chrome immediately deletes the data it stored locally. To also delete the data associated with your account on the server side, contact us at [email protected]: your account and all associated data will be deleted in accordance with the GDPR.
