How Long Does Vinted Take to Pay? Balance, Withdrawals and Delays in the UK
Founder of ResellTrack · 400+ users
"Sold" is not the same as "paid" on Vinted. Between the buyer pressing Buy now and the money reaching your bank, there are several stages, each with its own timer. Understanding them stops most of the panic messages to support, and helps resellers plan cash flow for their next buying trip.
Information checked on Vinted UK's official Help Centre in October 2026. Vinted can change its rules at any time: the timings in your app and the Help Centre always take precedence.
How long does Vinted take to pay?
Vinted pays you once the order is completed: when the buyer presses "Everything is OK", or 2 days after delivery if they do nothing. The money then moves from pending to available balance within 2 days. A bank withdrawal can take up to 5 further business days to arrive in the UK.
That's the standard seller route described on Vinted's Getting paid for a completed sale page. Pro sellers wait longer, as explained below.
The payout timeline, step by step
| Stage | What happens | Official timing |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Buyer pays | Money appears as Pending balance, held by the payment provider | Immediately |
| 2. You post | You ship with the prepaid label | Within 5 business days of purchase |
| 3. Delivery | Buyer confirms or reports an issue | 2 days after Vinted's delivery notice (14 days for Pro sellers) |
| 4. Order completed | Money moves to Available balance | Within 2 days of completion |
| 5. Withdrawal | Transfer to your UK bank account | Up to 5 business days |
Sources: Pending balance, I can't send the item on time and Withdraw your earnings, Vinted Help Centre, checked October 2026. Transit time depends on the carrier, which is why Vinted doesn't publish an end-to-end figure.
The fastest lever you control is stage 2: post the same day or the next, and the whole chain starts sooner. Our Vinted postage guide compares the carriers.
Pending balance vs available balance
Your Vinted Balance has two parts, according to Vinted Balance: how it works:
- Pending balance: money from orders still in progress. You can't spend or withdraw it. It stays there while the parcel travels, during the buyer's 2-day check, and while any issue is open.
- Available balance: money from completed orders. You can withdraw it to your bank or spend it on Vinted, where it's applied automatically at checkout.
You can't top up your balance: it only holds earnings from sales. And since private sellers pay no selling fees (Vinted's help centre states "There are no fees for uploading your items or selling them on Vinted"), the amount that lands is the price you sold at. The buyer pays the Vinted fee and postage on top.
Why is my Vinted money still pending?
- The parcel hasn't been marked as delivered yet. The buyer's 2-day window only starts after Vinted's delivery notice.
- The buyer reported an issue. The order is suspended until it's resolved. Our Vinted return policy guide explains the seller's options and the 14-day dispute window.
- You sell as a Pro. Orders complete automatically 14 days after the buyer receives them, because of the buyer's legal right of withdrawal.
- The order completed less than 2 days ago. The transfer to available balance takes up to 2 days.
How to withdraw money from Vinted to your bank
- Add your bank details (account number and sort code) in your payment settings.
- Go to your Vinted Balance.
- Press Withdraw to bank account.
- Follow progress under Vinted Balance > History, which shows when the transfer should arrive.
The rules on the official withdrawal page:
- Minimum withdrawal: £0.10. The page doesn't mention any withdrawal fee.
- Up to 5 business days to arrive, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
- GBP accounts only, at supported UK banks, identified by account number and sort code.
- One bank account per Vinted account. The same account can't be used to withdraw from several Vinted profiles.
- Biometric authentication must be set up to withdraw or view your balance, or phone verification if your device doesn't support it.
On your bank statement, the payment may show the name of Vinted's payment provider rather than "Vinted": the withdrawal issues page names Vinted Pay, Adyen, Mangopay and Leetchi as examples.
Why your Vinted withdrawal failed or is late
If a withdrawal fails, the money stays in your Vinted Balance. Vinted's Money withdrawal issues page lists the usual causes:
- An amount below the £0.10 minimum.
- Bank details that don't match the name on your Vinted Balance. With Vinted Pay, the names must match, and banks using Confirmation of Payee may block the transfer.
- A wrongly formatted account number (exactly 8 digits) or sort code (exactly 6 digits), with no spaces or letters.
- An account blocked by the payment provider.
- A bank account already linked to another Vinted profile.
Money sent to the wrong account
A withdrawal can't be cancelled once started. If it went to a closed or non-existent account, Vinted says the funds return to your balance within 14 calendar days; if the account isn't yours, they may come back within 15 business days. Re-enter your details carefully before trying again.
Money still not arrived after 5 business days
Check your statements from the withdrawal date, looking for the payment provider's name. If nothing has arrived, log in, use Contact us and attach statements showing all incoming payments since the withdrawal date, with your full name, account number, bank details and statement date visible. You can hide unrelated amounts.
Identity checks: why withdrawals get paused
Vinted's payment service provider may ask you to complete an identity check as part of its regulatory requirements. Until you do, withdrawals are paused. This isn't a sanction: per Vinted's balance page, it protects your account from unauthorised use. Complete it quickly and with documents that match your account name.
Vinted's Terms and Conditions (section 8) add that the wallet is suspended if you fail this KYC check. A blocked account can also have its payouts restricted, although Vinted's ban page says banned users can usually still withdraw their balance, except where there's a fraud or account-compromise risk. Details in our guide to a blocked Vinted account.
Payouts and tax
Vinted, like other platforms, reports sellers who pass certain thresholds to HMRC. Your payment history is the easiest record of what you've received. If you resell regularly, read our guide to Vinted tax in the UK before the end of the tax year.
Planning cash flow as a reseller
For a reseller, payout delay is working capital. Money from Monday's sale may only be in your bank the following week, and that's money you can't spend at the car boot on Sunday. Two habits help:
- Post fast. It's the only stage that depends on you alone.
- Buy stock that sells quickly. An item that sits for six weeks ties up cash far longer than any payout delay.
The second point is where data helps. ResellTrack shows what has actually sold on Vinted: an instant scan of a niche returns sales volume and the Median sold price, so you can favour fast-moving categories and brands. It reads market data only and never acts on your account. Plans start at €24 a month, with no free trial. For the rest of the selling process, see how to sell on Vinted, and for in-app terms like "pending" or "hidden", our Vinted glossary.

Why can't I withdraw my Vinted balance?
